NYC | 2013

Since the day I heard about the famous Christmas tree in NYC,
I've always wanted to see it.
So this holiday my family decided to go to NYC to experience the holiday season.
If you did not already know this
I've lived in this city for a year and a half.
New York has always been my dream city to live in,
however, it's not that great once you actually live there...
Anyway, I missed my old New York friends so I'm content to see them back in Queens.
Many had changed since we left.
The city hasn't, though.
I grew up watching Home Alone (best Christmas movie!),
and already knew what the city looks like since I was in elementary school.
I've been to the Macy's parade a few years ago,
but never been to the Rockefeller Center.
For 3 days,
we visited our family friends,
kinda did some shopping at Times Square,
and finally got to see the tree!
The tree is magnificent!
It wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be.
We still managed to get a picture in front of the tree.
New York City easily wins the Best City with Holiday Decors (:

'Tis the Season

It's finally here!
Christmas is my favorite holiday.
Even though it's not yet Christmas,
I already feel the spirit of the season.
Paper snowflakes were put up at work,
and a funny Santa came into work one day!
Christmas has always been my favorite season,
because the feeling of getting together and the Christmas lights.
Today it's Christmas Eve.
Work was hectic yesterday but today was rather calm.
I took some pictures with my family and they opened the presents that I bought them!
It feels good that I can use my own money this year to buy them gifts.
My mom is happy with her fake Burbury scarf,
and my brother likes his Hollister flannel.
Even though he still acts like he hates me...
(he loves me)
Tomorrow we are all going to NYC!!
Very excited!
We are going to see the Christmas tree and shopping.
This is going to be a great way to end this year!

P!NK | The Truth About Love Tour 2013

About half a year ago Nicole and I purchased tickets to see P!NK,
and we finally went!
Last friday it was raining so hard that it was awful to drive,
but Nicole managed to drive us back and forth safely :)
I felt bad though,
'coz Nicole had stomachache just days before the concert,
and I needed someone to drive us there...
Anyway, I had a lot fun that night.
The opening act was a band called The Hive.
A band that is not very well known.
I personally don't like their kind of music but they are alright.
And then there is this very frightening clown who did the introductions and such.
We still don't know who this man is,
but overall he was pretty funny, and creepy too.
P!NK came out and everyone was super exited!
She is one of the female singers that can actually sing.
That's why I respect her.
She can really make a crowd move.
The best part of the night was probably when she did the stunts!
She was spinning on a metal spinning thing (idk what's that called),
and sang... perfectly!
Like how many singers can do that.
At the end of the show, she spun around the whole freakin' arena...
Her stunts just added so much fun to the show.
To be honest, I'm not her biggest fan but I'm surprised how I knew most of her songs.
It was a night to remember and hopefully I can go to more concerts!

Black Friday

Thanksgiving this year wasn't that interesting.
I went to a brick hotel at Newtown for a buffet dinner.
The food was ehh...
Didn't eat that much but the environment was nice I guess.
My holiday was a blur.
All I remember was working and being lazy.
As usual I procrastinated my homework until the night before school.

On Friday, I went to the mall with Iliana and Jess in early morning.
It was so much fun because I don't see Jess that often!
Except that Iliana was being cranky 'coz she worked all night from 12am-7am.
That sucks.
The sales this years weren't that great.
I only got 2 items from the mall and then went to work.
Cyber Monday came,
and I ordered some stuff online which was exciting.
Cannot wait for Christmas.
3 full weeks of school... I can do this!

Thanksgiving dinner.

Oh, the joy of shopping...

Mu Alpha Theta

Haven't update my blog in a while.
I was wrong about not being busy senior year.
Too much work load this month!
Despite the fact that I had gazillon projects/research papers to do,
I had fun with my friends.
Last week, Iliana and I went to On the Borders for Mexican food.
It's one of my favorite places to go!
And then we also shopped for Christmas gifts,
which I secretly bought a flannel shirt for my brother and a scarf for my mom.
I'm going to hide them until Christmas... hopefully.

Today I was inducted into the Math Honors Society!
Which is the Mu Alpha Theta to be formal.
All my hard work in Math had finally paid off. Yeah right.
My mom went with me and she was proud :)
And my dad was surprised when I told him I got a 3.9 GPA this marking period. #nerd
Next week... black friday shopping 'till I'm broke!

Iliana enjoying her spicy jalapeno.

Ice cream brownie... best thing I've ever tasted.

Sweater Weather

My dad is back from Hong Kong, China, Vietnam... (or wherever he was)
It's been at least one and a half month since I saw him.
But he is going back to China/HK/Vietnam next week... again.
These few days we just went out for dinner and shopping.
I feel like I've lived under a rock with no place to go to for 2 months.
So apparently Camouflage is the new fashion trend.
I got myself a camouflage sweater from Forever 21 :)
It's just those days when you want to be in sweaters and sleep all day.
Work was normal as usual and I went to a party this weekend.
Had fun catching up with friends.
Aside from the positive events,
I found myself having a weird paralysis called Sleep Paralysis.
The other night I remember after sometime I fell asleep,
I "woke up" but could not move my whole body!
It was literally the most frightening situation I've ever encountered!
Sleep Paralysis, as I found out, happens during the onset of sleeping.
I am aware that I am awake but my body is still in a sleeping situation.
I think my cause is stress and irregularly sleep habits.
And meanwhile... I am typing this up at 11pm at night.
I need to get my brain checked up, seriously.

This month had been memorable,
Halloween, Spirit Week...
My last Blue, White, & Gold night was super amazing!
Kinda sucked I didn't wear my pjs to school in Spirit Week though.
Hopefully winter kicks in slowly and calmly.
I surely do not want any snow days.

Fall Festival

This past week had been so busy.
I feel like my English teacher wants to strangle me with all these projects.
I never stayed 'till 4pm at school for a single project before.
On the contrary, there are some good news!
I got accepted into 2 colleges!
Bloomsburg University and Temple University.
They may not be my top choices,
but I am content that I will have somewhere to go to. Phew!
So as we all know, fall is here.
Fall is my favorite season because of the breeze and leaves.
And of course our school has the annual Fall Festival.
I went today for the last time.
Used 10 bucks to buy a pizza, a hot dog, a senior T-shirt, a flower, and a tattoo (fake, of course).
Pretty good purchases.
Didn't have much fun as I did last year,
but overall I will miss all the festive events at school.

Marissa and I shoving candies into the Minion pinata!

Maggie and I at Fall Festival.

Our pretty tattoos! I got the rose one.

Spent a dollar for this carnation to support the Pink out.

Senior T-shirt this year is wayy better.

My New IG Store!

If you didn't know, I have an online buying addiction.
So when I was in HK, I went on Instagram every single day to check out HK ig store.
I bought some cool cases and I thought...
What if one day I can sell things on my own?
My cousin and I told our parents about ig, how people can buy stuff from there.
And my dad suggests that we can actually open our own store!
So we did.
My cousin, who lives in HK, is in charge of the ig account and selling.
On the other hand, I'm in charge of buying.
Buying is an addiction.
Even though I'm not getting clothes for myself, I'm still happy to shop.
Right now, we have a start.
We don't wish to be really successful or anything,
but that would be our goal to have a decent amount of customers.
I wanted our store name to have the word "skyline" in it.
So Newyork__Skyline was what she came up with.
Please follow us on ig!

Fall is Here

Fall time is my favorite time.
Not too hot, not too cold. Just perfect.
Another reason I love fall is I get to wear my winter clothes.
Combat boots, scarves, leather jackets...
And coffee. Yumm.
This school year is going to be fun and hectic.
Hectic? College work.
Many essays to type, and the worries of getting into college.
Fun? Disney, graduation, P!NK concert, 18th birthday...
And hopefully no finals!
The seniors got called down to watch the "trailer" of Disney World.
Just by watching the video gives me chills and excitements.
April is going to be the best month!
First we have Disney all week,
then after we come back we will have Spring break,
then after that comes my freakin' 18th birthday!
Ah! I can't wait!
Fall is also a great time to sneak into my bed.
I love reading books under the warm beddings.
And I have an addiction of buying books from Amazon. Oops!
But since I am earning money now, I can actually pay for my own things. Kinda.
Which is what I am doing for the Disney trip.
Possibly the Hong Kong trip too.
Winter, please slow down your steps, because I love the breeze right now.

The lovely pins that I found at a local bookstores!

My current bookshelf.

The Start of the End

SENIOR YEAR.
What?
It has been 2 weeks and I still couldn't believe I'm a senior.
Like, I love this school, but I still want to graduate and be done with it.
This year is GREAT.
At least for now.
I love all my classes except for math.
Math. First period. Sucks. (3 years in a roll baby!)
And having a teacher that puts you back to sleep? Ugh.
Other classes are fine, though, since I dropped physics AND soc.
Gotta love the advantages of being the oldest.
So I went and got my parking permit.
That lady put me in Honors lot which makes me happy.
Which means I don't have to walk on the hill in winter.
Since I can drive, I have to drive my mom to grocery shopping.
I guess that's alright, 'coz sometimes I can go to places that I want.
Like getting froyo.
My goal this year is getting to a college that I love.
U of Pittsburgh would be ideal.
Oh, and getting all A's too, so I don't have to take the finals.
Senior year...
Let's all enjoy every moment and make the best of it!

Coffee yogurt with strawberries, oreos, chocolate crumbs, and nuts. Yumm.

HONG KONG | 2013

My family and I came back from Hong Kong a few weeks ago.
Even to this day I am particularly sad that my trip was over...
Hong Kong is like a temporary escape for me even though it doesn't seem like it to hkers.
Over that couple months, I had the best time ever!
I lived in my "popo"'s (grandma) house for the whole summer.
God, that place is too small for 4 people but I rather live with her than in luxurious hotels.
We didn't travel to other places while we were there like last time,
but we did went to several places in HK that I've never been to when I was young.
It was pleasant to see my "yeye" (grandpa) still doing strong.
Makes me cry whenever I know I won't be able to see popo and yeye 'till maybe next year.
Another thing that makes this summer special is I finally got to see my old friends!
There were like, what, 10+ people from TSL that I met this summer.
And I met someone that I thought we'd both forget each other.
Hotpot, movies, MongKok, Ocean Park, karaoke... amazing memories.
But it was my family who I wanted to see the most 'coz it had been so long since I saw them.
We all went to buffets and eat sushi together like gazillion times.
Again, more amazing memories.
When I finally could count my days left in HK, I had that empty feeling inside my body.
I didn't want to cross out the days on the calendar.
I spent my last day in HK with my cousin and brother riding bikes.
Best way to finish off my actual summer.
My cousin came to sleepover the last night but ain't nobody got time fo sleep!
We left for the airport while it was still dark out.
Didn't get too emotional like last time when I finally had to say goodbye.
Hong Kong never fails to give me memorable moments :)
I'm glad to see everyone and thanks for giving me another awesome (and special) summer!
